Gamma Ray Digital has been authoring our DVD and Blu-ray releases for over ten years. They are great problem solvers. There is no one more knowledgeable about the digital universe than Perry Paolantonio. I dont know how we'd manage without them.
Gamma Ray Digital has been our trusted source for film transfer, audio digitization, and LTO creation for years. Their 5K overscans of 8mm home movies were an essential part of my Netflix series Wormwood. We recommend Gamma Ray Digital to everyone in the Boston area—and beyond, wherever the beyond might be.
Gamma Ray Digital has always exceeded our expectations. Perry and his team are friendly, knowledgeable, and above all masterful in their scanning and film restoration techniques!
After a less-than-ideal experience with another east coast business, I talked to Perry at GRD about scanning for a short I was shooting. He was polite and answered all of my questions clearly and quickly. their pricing was cheaper than every option I found in LA, and it was simple to budget for the scan since their scanning is done by the foot, NOT by the hour.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you and Gamma Ray Digital. The quality and range I got from this scan was beyond what I expected to receive. The Dynamic Range of this scan exceeded my expectations and blew them out of the water. Now thanks to your services, we’ll have a deliverable video despite every inclination to the otherwise. The search is over.... there’s nobody better than Gamma Ray.
The best film scanning! These guys deliver the best quality! Great service! I always do business with Gamma Ray!!
Literally the best Super 8 scans I have ever gotten. [Gamma Ray Digital] brings the motion picture world into the 21st century with fast email response and easy invoicing. 100% recommend GRD to everyone who shoots motion picture film. Plus! More affordable than other labs.
A very complex and lengthy film project came in on budget and the quality of the scans was amazing. I cannot thank Perry and Benn enough for their commitment to bringing in our restoration project right on time.
I recently entrusted the restoration of Sherman’s March, a documentary I made back in 1986, to Gamma Ray Digital. This film had been selected for the National Registry of the Library of Congress, and the LOC asked if I’d consider doing a digital restoration for their collection. The crew at Gamma Ray Digital led by Perry Paolatonio did a superb job of making a 4k scan. Perry's fastidious attention to detail was remarkable. We recently presented the film at the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam and it was truly beautiful to behold. Sherman’s March will eventually be given a “documentary classic” release in the US, and will proudly bear a credit thanking Gamma Ray Digital for its fine work.
